Happy Sunday, Everyone! It's March! Woohoo!

Good morning and here's to a wonderful Sunday, wherever you may be!

Things have been a touch hectic around here the past few weeks so I'll just pick up where I left off. That's always best when there's just too much to cover!

First things first: Stampin' UP' OnStage event is coming!!

Yes, it is going to be here in no time at all (April 7!) and we are heading to Vegas to enjoy the convention with our fellow crafters on April 5. There are a group of us heading up together and we will be hanging out in Vegas and seeing all the local sights before Saturday's big event!

Stampin' UP is celebrating it's 30 Year Anniversary this year and we are really looking forward to lots of cool stuff at this OnStage event. The "big one" of course, will be this November in Orlando, FL. That is entitled our "LIVE" event (even though this event in Vegas is live, it is different!)

If you've never been to an OnStage event it's a combination of creating projects (hands on), meeting fellow stampers, getting TONS of free gifts, partaking of "demo-only" perks such as pre-ordering, viewing the new annual catalog early - even before other demonstrators, and so much more!  Add this to the general excitement of Vegas and you have a trip that can't be beat!

We went to the "LIVE" event this past November in Salt Lake City and it was amazing. Just meeting so many other people who share your passion is a wonderful thing. The "Live" events that are held each November are 3 days long for the convention aspect, the "local" event (which is happening in a couple weeks) are just one day in length.

On the home front, things have been extremely hectic with kids, grandkids, and all sorts of family events that have sort of overshadowed a lot of stuff. Not in a bad way, just in a "gosh, I think it will be nice when this slows down so I'll have more time for crafting" type of way! lol

Just being honest here!

Take a quick peek at one of the cards that I'll be featuring in my "Simple & Stunning" class. This class has been a staple for me and I've been able to continue offering it (every 3rd Monday night) of each month. Even though the class size is relatively small since I have it in my own home, we have a TON of fun and it is a great time of creativity and fellowship among crafters.

This card features the popular "Bird Banter" stamp set and let's face it, we ALWAYS need birthday cards, right?? I try to have at least one birthday card in my roster when I do these classes each month, basically a simple yet cute birthday card that can be appropriate for many. In my "Simple & Stunning" class that meets each month, we do 3 projects  which can be a card, a 3 D project, a set of gift tags, or something else. Here is an example of a 3D project that might be something offered at a class (in addition to the other projects.)

As you can see, I used the same stamp set "Bird Banter" to create a cute gift card holder that might be a cute addition to the card shown above. One comment though, for some reason my photo of the gift card holder does not truly reflect the colors I used, not sure why but they were badly washed out when I uploaded...the true colors are shown in the card as it is the same card stock and glimmer paper. How weird, right? Usually when I photograph the Lemon Lime Twist projects I get really good representation on the photos I upload, just not in this case!  Still, I thought it was cute and went with the gift card from Rainforest Cafe.

All the cards we make include a decorated envelope, too!!   If you are interested in joining any of our upcoming classes, please contact me and I will get you all the information.

On that note, I'll close for today. I hope you are all well and managing to get that all-important crafting time in, we need it!

Till next time!
