Monday is Here!!

Today is the Monday following last night's Oscars....the Academy Awards. I have to say it was a night to remember for the sheer number of technical errors. I really don't like it when they actors postulate about the state of the union, just like I wouldn't like it if the politicians tried to act like they knew something about acting. But as everyone has an opinion, it is important that we are allowed to all share those opinions as peacefully as possible. One more reason that I would never really mix my political beliefs with my blog. There's always a person who does not agree with your opinions and they have every right to do so.

But it was entertaining!!

Today, I have some pictures for you, they are of some "simple yet stunning" cards that can be made, well; SIMPLY. I realize many people are just beginning their crafting journey and even for the advanced card-makers among us, it is always a  nice thing to have a simple project that takes hardly any time or effort yet comes out beautifully and will WOW someone special.

I took an informal poll on my Facebook page and most of the respondents said they use "Thank You" cards the most. This was only second to "Happy Birthday" and "Thinking of You"/"Love You" cards. Pretty much, I have to agree. In honor of that sentiment, today's giveaway will be for a Thank You set. Now I realize this is a set that people COULD have earned for free if they had placed an order of $50 or more, but as the entrants have (for the most part) not placed any orders I feel safe than none of them yet own this set. The other twist in this week's giveaway is that I have included the supplies and a short video (ok, a LINK to my video) tutorial on how to make the cute cards!! They will get the supplies to make SIX complete cards with their matching envelopes. How neat is that?? Pretty neat, I think!

These were made using the "So Very Much" stamp set that comes with the large "thank you" plus four smaller sentiments such as "so very much""for your kindness""for the gift" "from all of us" and I forget the fourth one. I used some colors from both the 2016-2018 In Colors (Sweet Sugarplum) and from the Subtle's Collection (Pear Pizzazz) plus some DSP from Serene Scenery along with ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. You see the gold foil card stock and I used the butterfly paper punches (Elegant Butterfly) and (Bitty Butterfly.) These are cards you can put together in a jiffy and keep on hand for when you need a quick yet elegant thank you card.

To enter either leave me a comment here before six pm tonight (Monday, Feb. 27) or on my Facebook page. Winner will be chosen at 8:00 pm pacific time and announced shortly afterwards. I can only ship to the US, sorry about that.

In other news, Sale-A-Bration is in it's third and final month. There is still time to take advantage of acquiring all those free items from the promotion brochure. After the close date, those items will no longer be available for free. In fact, I don't think they will be available at all. This is my first Sale-A-Bration so I will find out and let  you guys know because I want to know, too!!

Ok, busy Monday ahead so I'll leave you for now. Have a wonderful and productive day and I will let you guys know who the lucky winner is tonight!!!
