It is Sunday!!

For most of the United States (of sports) also known as Super Bowl Sunday. But I refuse to be part of all that. I think it is just a phase and will blow over soon.

I've been on a roll lately with rain-themed cards. Here is one using the cute little kitty set I've had for a month or so called "Pretty Kitty" and it is adorable. I love it when I open a set I haven't used at all (or maybe very little) and have such a good time creating wth it.
The little 'rain drop' hearts are from the "Weather Together" stamp set as well as the umbrella which I cut out using my Big Shot die cutting machine. The first layer of the card (on top of Daffodil Delight) is from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP and I think matches the Soft Sky on the rainy hearts pretty well. I kept the rest of the colors on the kitty soft by using the watercolor pencils and a blender pen to give it a washed out look. The little bow is from the embellishment set in our new Occasions catalog all I did to the bow was add the ribbon from Sale-A-Bration to its middle. Just a pop of bling.

This set and the set with Bella the puppy in it are so adorable. They are also super versatile and can be used for so many occasions. I love that in a stamp set. The more uses I have for it, the more I'm liable to keep it out and use it.

I'm getting ready for a February card swap where we all gather (virtually at least!) and share cards. After everyone signs up and there is a total number we divide into two teams usually and then send all the cards to one 'host' house where the cards are divided up and re-sent out to each of us. This is a great way to get ideas, have samples for your workshop customers to actually handle, and even for use if we  need an extra card or two. Basically it only costs the amount for supplies and postage and let's be honest, you were going to make a bunch of cards anyway!

I just participated in a January card swap and I was impressed with the quality of cards I received. Hoping this swap is just as good!

On that note I will leave you to the rest of your afternoon. Tomorrow at 8:01 sharp I will be announcing the winner of the "Hey, Chick" stamp set. Remember if you still want to join there is time. Comment either here or on my Facebook page with the colors you would use if you win the stamp set.

Thanks for playing!! Don't forget to sign up to "follow" my blog.
