Thankful Thursday!

Good morning, everyone!

It is a rainy, cold Thursday here and I am very thankful for it. Because in southern California we've been in such a draught situation that the rain is welcome.

Finally put together my Paper Pumpkin video and talk about technical difficulties! (click here) I know my last post was about that and besides being frustrating it takes a lot of time from your day trying to work through the problems. The video finally posted to YouTube but it is different from my usual videos, half is a video and the last half is a slide show since I couldn't convince my iMovie to upload the second part of the demo video. Either way I think you will like it and there is some good information posted there along with the super cute project that you will love from Paper Pumpkin.

Here's a picture of the finished product. They came out so cute and there were 24 in the kit! Enough so that my granddaughter could use them for her Valentine day treat for her class mates. Because her school does not allow edible treats we chose super balls for the boys and bling-y rings for the girls. Matter of fact we also used Island Indigo for the boy's hearts (for the stamping portion of this project) so Kiera could easily figure out which treats when to which kids. She was so involved in helping make these that she even decided to make herself one - for hers she chose the Wisteria Wonder ink pad to stamp her heart. It is so much fun for them to get involved in these little projects and the kids have just as much fun as we do!

This week's giveaway is for the super cute Sale-A-Bration stamp set, "Hey, Chick!" This little set is so versatile and cute, to boot. Just leave a comment here to enter.

Remember, if you order from me to use the host code you see in the picture above. Besides getting my hand made thank you card and a surprise goody from me, you will also get the current catalogs sent out to you if you have not yet received them. If you order these catalogs from the Stampin' Up! website it can cost $10 for all three current catalogs so you are getting a nice little perk if I send them out to you instead!

On that note, I hope you all have a wonderful day doing all the things you love to do. If you are a work, I hope it is a great day and you are able to change someone's life today!!

    1. She was so cute when we made them. After the first two she told me, "Grandma, I need a break. Can you do some more of them?" they are simple but tedious for a 5 year old...she is super excited to take them to school on Valentine's day!! :)

  2. What a cute valentine. I miss my paper pumpkin I really need to start that up again. I loved getting it every month I just ran out of time and they started building up. I love how you do not need to buy anything else, how the kit is all you need. I love that your grand daughter helps with the crafts and likes it. She is a cutie.

    1. Kiera is funny about helping with stamping stuff. She gets all excited and then starts helping and is not shy about telling me when she's "done."
Yeah, you should definitely get your Paper Pumpkin started up again. You can do videos when you get the new box!! :)

    1. I know a LOT of us love the subscription boxes...lol...but yes. Paper Pumpkin is part of Stampin' Up! If you do a 3 month subscription (comes to $55 which includes shipping to you) in your first box you will get a free acrylic block for your photopolymer stamps and also during Sale-A-Bration (Jan.4 thru March 31) you can choose one free item from the Sale-A-Bration brochures. Yay for free stuff! There is a spot to order from on my shopping page, I can link you if you like. :)

    2. Let me know if you want to start it up, Syd. Right now during Sale-A-Bration you can get whatever stamp set or paper you want for free out of the Sale-A-Bration catalog if you get a Paper Pumpkin subscription of 3 months or more. Actually if you get more than 3 months you will get MORE free sets. I sent you a Sale-A-Bration brochure, you can see all the free stuff in there, but basically for every 50 in product you buy you get a free set of your choice in that brochure. Awesome to get stuff for free!! :D
