So Technically it is Friday...

Good Morning, Everyone!

It is time for another GIVEAWAY! Just comment on this blog entry and I will enter you for the giveaway. What could be easier??

Technically it IS morning, well, 12:04 am anyway. The truth is, when my hubs is on his night shift rotation I do not sleep well. It isn't that I'm scared or anything, I can't really put my finger on it. Just not sleepy.

Believe me?

Good.

In other news, I am thinking we should have an online class to make a few cards. What do you guys think of that? I was going to do one in person but online is just as good and that means more of you can participate if you want. Since everyone has loved the new stamp sets that have come out are there any in particular you would like to see as a class?

If not, I was going to choose between Beautiful You and Cupcakes and Carousels.

With the online classes I do not show you the cards ahead of time but you can be sure they will be beautiful and you will love them. Any level stamper or crafter will be able to put them together and everything will be included in your class. Let me know what you want to start with and I will set up a cute notice for it along with the color samples of the cards.

I'd forgotten that I bought a set of the Whisper White notecards (they are a bit smaller than our regular cards) and so I was playing with the Send With Love set and made these little cuties:

I wanted to use the new lace doilies in the Occasions catalog, they are super lacy and delicate and beautiful. I just cut them in half and put the Blushing Bride glimmer paper under them. The ink I used for the intricate heart stamp is Sweet Sugarplum as well as the sentiment "hugs & kisses" which I LOVE since I sign my name like that all the time. Well, I put xoxo. Same thing, really.

This one was a cool stamp set I've been wanting to emboss with for awhile but still haven't. Instead, for this card I made it more on the rustic side by using some of the DSP 'scenery' stack that looks a bit like coarse burlap and just stamped Thank You in archival black. Then I used the In Color 2016-2018 washi tape to add a hint of color. It is still a cute card. You can't go wrong with that set, "So Very Much" is one of the really nice FREE sets you can get from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

On that note I'll be heading off to bed now. I hope you are all safe and well whatever part of the country you are in, I know the weather has been tough lately everywhere. California doesn't know what to do with all the rain we've had and there's more on the way.

Deb
xoxo

    1. I'm glad you liked your card!! When my mom was alive she used to say that to me about being awake at weird hours and I never got it. I get it now, though. lol. :)

  2. I totally get the not sleeping thing. I am the same when my hubby is working nights, a kind of 'things are not in the right place' unease.

    1. Elinor, that's it exactly!! I never like that feeling, not one bit!
What do you think about an online class to make cards? The great thing is that you get to keep the stamp set and can always make more later or make some of your own creation with the same set. :)

    1. Right?? There's so many ways you can go with it. I did a 'rustic' looking card because I just kept seeing the more elegant ones. I'm a rebel like that. lol. But there's really no limit to what we can do with it, you will LOVE it!!
I have a fat package here waiting for you I'm just waiting for your personalized bone folder (yes it has YOUR name on it!!) to get here then I'll send it off. See you guys, Ingrid is getting lots of perks for joining my team of Fancy Stampers!! lol

    1. My dogs are pretty good about warning me of stuff too, problem is, they bark at stray cats, too!
How long do your orders usually take to get there? With Sale-A-Bration mine have been taking a bit longer but I guess that is to be expected, right??
I'm designing a new Dragonfly card right now. :D

  8. ONLINE CLASSES!!! Do I get college credit for them, though? :P

I'm awful when Hims isn't here at night. I will have all the lights on and the television in the bedroom (usually on "Pride & Prejudice" because it's soothing to me for some reason), and won't be able to sleep until nearly 2am, then wake again around 3. You'd never think I'd lived by myself for over a decade, huh?

    1. Hahah...college credit?? I think I will try to work that out!
Yeah I know, you'd think I was a baby the way I get fussy at night all alone. Makes little sense, but there it is.
What I LOVE about doing online classes like this is that you basically just pay for the stamp set and any ink plus shipping to you. The paper, etc, plus my instruction is free. YAY for free!! lol
Even better, during Sale-A-Bration if the class materials come to $50 then you will also get an item of your choice free from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Yippee!! More free stuff!
